Katy Manley is a founder member of the Professional Negligence Lawyers Association and also
holds a position on the National Steering Group. She has many years experience in professional
negligence and not only lectures on the subject, but is responsible for lobbying Government and professional bodies to promote PNLA objectives.
Katy qualified as a solicitor in 1989, training and working initially in the City of London.
She joined a top 10 Bristol practice in 1992, was made an equity partner in 1995 and became
Head of the Professional Negligence Department. She is a founder member of Manley Turnbull
which is the first niche practice for professional negligence claims.
Over the years, she has developed considerable experience within the specialisations listed and
in methods of funding actions. She says: “Winning claims against professionals is about knowing
the law, getting the evidence and putting together the right team of advisers. Only strong cases will
be worth fighting. To find out if you have a strong case and have the best chance of winning depends
upon finding the right solicitor for your case." |
